Snuggled
in the San Bernardino mountains surrounding the Cajon Pass
sits Bestovall Arabians, ascending the pinnacle to raise
champion Arabians. We're creating a line of horses
capable of winning both in halter and performance, and breeding
true to their pedigree in respect to reproducing their qualities
from generation to generation. Though this appears
to be restatement of the age-old adage guiding so many farms
today, Bestovall is actually accomplishing its goals.
For example, at the 1998 Cal-Bred
Futurity Championships, our young stallion BST
Indigo (BST Dajamaal x BLTD Bokay) was named Cal-Bred
Futurity Champion Three-Year-Old Colt. What separated
this win from others is that Indigo's sire BST
Dajamaal (Ali Jamaal x Miss Ts Classic) is also a past
winner of the Cal-Bred Three-Year-Old Futurity in 1993.
This rare father-son victory has occured only a handful of
times in the prestigious event's history, and perhaps the
only time from the same farm breeding and owning each stallion
to his win.
